Wang Fengying, president of Great Wall Motors
Wang Fengying said China's strategic orientation on hydrogen energy is not yet clear, and supportive policies have not yet been perfected. Management on hydrogen stations is now a blank, and the hydrogen supply system for automobiles has not yet been well established. Moreover, the country's self-development ability for key materials and components is insufficient. Exorbitant prices for car manufacturing and hydrogen hinder the industrialization of hydrogen energy, and China must solve these problems.
She suggested the country formulate a top-level design for the industry and perfect its standards and regulations, enhance basic science input on hydrogen fuel cells and break through technological bottlenecks on core materials and key components. She said the country should accelerate the industrialization of fuel cell automobiles, encourage cost reduction and strengthen resource coordination and the development environment.
