Guiyang customs in Southwest China's Guizhou province has cooperated with Guiyang Free Trade Zone to carry out bonded and processing services for imported soybeans.
Ahead of the Spring Festival holiday, several trucks carrying soybeans imported from Uruguay passed through Guiyang's Zhucheng customs and entered Guiyang Free Trade Zone to be processed into soybean flour and distributed across China as feedstuff.
From Jan 1 to March 1, applications were filed for six batches of 4,601.5 metric tons of imported soybeans to enter Guiyang Free Trade Zone to be bonded and processed.
Zhucheng customs has provided one-on-one guidance for companies to complete quality registration as importers and prepare for the transportation, unloading and processing of imported grains. Customs officials have also allowed quarantine at berth instead of quarantine at anchorage and provided 24-hour services to save customs clearance time for companies.
In the future, Zhucheng customs will realize whole-process and whole-day supervision for imported grain processing companies to ensure the bio-safety of the country's gateway.
It will also help companies use Guiyang Free Trade Zone as a platform for opening-up and support the development of the imported grain processing industry in the zone.
