The Guiyang-Guian international dedicated internet data channel – the first of its kind in Southwest China's Guizhou province – officially opened at the end of 2020 and can improve the global communication capacity in Guiyang and Guian New Area's industrial parks.
The channel is a piece of first-level international communication infrastructure that provides service for companies. With a bandwidth of 240 gigabits per second and direct worldwide communication access, the channel increases internet speed and reduces network delay.
Guizhou has been exploring the export-oriented economy and participating in the Belt and Road Initiative in recent years. As the big data industry, information economy and foreign economic exchanges develop, Guizhou has seen an increasing demand for international communication.
The channel's establishment can further the opening-up of Guiyang and Guian and meet Guizhou's needs in informationization and international cooperation.
