2022 World Half Marathon Championships set for March in Yangzhou

Four hundred athletes from more than 100 countries and regions of the IAA (International Amateur Athletic Federation) will travel to Yangzhou in East China's Jiangsu province to participate in the 2022 World Half Marathon Championships next year.

The 2022 World Half Marathon was scheduled for March 27, 2022 in Yangzhou, according to the official preparatory work promotion meeting on Jan 22.

It will be the first time the city has hosted such a large and prestigious international sporting event, according to local officials.

In light of the COVID-19 epidemic, the preparation team and the IAA are communicating frequently via video meetings and email to discuss issues related to the event.

Officials from the preparation team in Yangzhou said that they will do their best to complete all necessary tasks.
