Covering 3.92 square kilometers, the Caishiji Cultural and Ecological Tourism Area of the Yangtze River is home to the Caishiji Scenic Spot, Wangfu Mountain, Hebao Mountain, and the Binjiang Wetland Park.

Caishiji Scenic Area lies at the foot of Cuiluo Mountain in southwestern Ma’anshan. Caishiji, Chenglingji in Yueyang, and Yanziji in Nanjing are called "the Three Rocky Outcrops along the Yangtze River". Caishiji, with its unique natural scenery and rich culture, ranks first among the three rocky outcrops and was often visited by Li Bai (701-762), a great romantic poet of the Tang Dynasty (618 - 907) who wrote well-known poems there.

Wangfu Mountain is located at the Binjiang River, one kilometer away from the northwestern Caishi town. On the top of Wangfu Mountain there is a rock resembling a woman waiting for her husband to be discharged from the army, which is called the “Wangfu Rock”. The poets Liu Yuxi (772-842) and Guo Xiangzheng (1035-1113) were inspired sufficiently by that rock and its surroundings to write poems in praise of Wangfu Mountain.

Hebao Mountain, commonly known as Baoji Mountain, is adjacent to the Caishiji Scenic Area to the south, the Wangfu Mountain to the north, and the Yangtze River to the west. Halfway up of the mountain is the Yugong pavilion, a double hexagonal pavilion with cornices and an extraordinary atmosphere.

Surrounded by green mountains, Binjiang Wetland Park is located in the Caishiji Scenic Area to the north and the Yangtze River to the west. Walking on the tree-lined trail along the river, you can see a fantastic view of the river and a green and livable ecological landscape of mountains and flowing water.
