Hechi section of Guiyang-Nanning railway investment hits $63m

The Hechi section of Guiyang-Nanning High-speed Railway delivered an overall investment of 410 million yuan ($63.28 million) in January, while the wider Guiyang-Nanning High-speed Railway saw a total investment of 660 million yuan.

The Guiyang-Nanning High-speed Railway, connecting Guizhou's Guiyang and Nanning in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, started construction in December 2016 and is expected to be put into operation in December 2023.

By the end of Feb 1, the Hechi section had finished construction of 25,977 foundation piles, accounting for 96 percent of the overall volume, and 27 tunnels had been connected, meaning 61 percent of the overall 44 tunnels are now complete.
