In response to the call of the government to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19, many people chose to stay put in Fujian during this year's Spring Festival holiday, which ran from Feb 11 to 17. Additionally, the provincial government rolled out a series of preferential policies to stimulate consumption.

City tours were the main drivers for Fujian's tourism growth during the holiday, while city parks, as well as streets and areas featuring ancient culture were popular destinations for local visitors.

The provincial department of culture and tourism launched enticing online and offline cultural activities, offering residents a platform to experience traditional Fujian culture.

Statistics show that during the seven-day holiday, public cultural venues like cultural centers, libraries, museums, and fitness centers received 83,800 visitors, ensuring that people who stayed in the province were able to enjoy a happy and healthy holiday.
