The Shanxi Development and Reform Commission recently approved a feasibility study for an infrastructure project on the Wucheng campus of Shanxi University in Taiyuan, capital city of North China's Shanxi province.
The project involves the construction of a science and technology park building with a total floorspace of 5,871 square meters, as well as the renovation of teaching buildings for the College of Environmental & Resource Sciences, School of Life Science and the Business College -- as well as student dormitories and auxiliary facilities including roads and landscaping. The renovated teaching buildings and student dormitories will cover a floorspace of 93,188 sq m.
With an investment of more than 190 million yuan ($29.42 million), the project will be constructed by the university over a period of 18 months.
One completed, it will reportedly further optimize the education infrastructure of the Wucheng campus and enhance the development of its disciplines.
