The Beijing Chinese Orchestra will perform at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) on Feb 26 and 27 to celebrate the traditional Lantern Festival with Chinese folk music.
Conducted by Zhang Ming, the music ensemble will bring a series of Chinese orchestral music, such as Yangge, A Beautiful Night, and My Motherland.
The 90-minute performance will feature famous erhu artist Song Fei and bamboo flute musician Zhang Weiliang.
The Lantern Festival falls on the 15th day of the first month of the Chinese lunar calendar when a full moon appears. It features family reunions, feasts and various cultural activities.
