The fifth session of the 13th Tai'an Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) opened on Jan 24 in Tai'an, Shandong province.
A total of 358 CPPCC members participated in the opening ceremony of the session to discuss major political, economic, and social issues in the city.
Zhou Guiping, chairman of the CPPCC Tai'an Municipal Committee, reviewed last year's work and introduced the major projects scheduled for 2021.
Yao Ting, deputy chairman of the CPPCC Tai'an Municipal Committee, introduced the proposals. Since the fourth session of the 13th Tai'an Municipal Committee of the CPPCC, 366 proposals have been received, of which 287 have been put on file.
