The Tai'an government signed a strategic cooperation agreement on Nov 18 with the Power Construction Corporation of China (POWERCHINA), a wholly State-owned urban construction company.
According to the agreement, the two sides will strengthen cooperation in energy utilization, infrastructure construction, urban transport engineering projects, and the development of mine resources.
Zhang Tao, mayor of Tai'an, delivered a keynote speech at the signing ceremony.
He said that POWERCHINA is a global leader in clean and low-carbon energy, water resources and environmental construction, and the strategic cooperation with the company will accelerate the high-quality development of Tai'an.
Meanwhile, the Tai'an government promised to create a more favorable environment and offer better services for cooperation.
Zhang also expressed hope that the two sides would work to strengthen strategic coordination and develop an effective cooperation model for local governments and State-owned enterprises.
