The actual utilization of foreign capital in Nanning, capital city of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, reached $440.23 million in 2020, equaling a year-on-year growth of 41.9 percent and finishing at 110.1 percent of the annual target - despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Nanning's actual utilization of foreign capital ranked top in Guangxi and accounted for 33.42 percent of the region's total.
The city has implemented and released a series of preferential policies to further boost the confidence of foreign investors.
Meanwhile, the structure of Nanning's utilization of foreign capital has been increasingly optimized. The distribution of industries utilizing foreign capital in Nanning has a better structure compared with the same period in the previous year, as it involves multiple industries such as hydropower and wind power generation, investment and asset management, as well as manufacturing.
The utilization of foreign capital in hydropower and wind power generation reached $118.14 million, accounting for 26.84 percent of the total; the figure for investment and asset management funds in place was $83.92 million, accounting for 19.06 percent of the total; and the manufacturing industry funds in place hit $74.81 million, accounting for 16.99 percent of the total.
