The culture and tourism promotion event, aiming to better display the charm of Ningxia and stimulate consumption, was launched on Aug 11. Promotional videos were filmed to show the distinct image, high-quality culture and tourism products, and local specialties of the 22 counties and districts in the region. The event has been viewed more than 500 million times.
Increased exposure led more tourists and business opportunities to culture and tourism companies in the region. During the National Day holiday, the scenic spots under the management of Liupanshan Tourism Group received nearly 200,000 visitors in total, despite the unsettled weather and lower temperatures. Visitor volume and revenue achieved a year-on-year increase of 30 percent and 20 percent, respectively.
The promotional event helps cultivate new business types and hotspots in the culture and tourism consumption, and drives high-quality development of the culture and tourism industry in Ningxia, said Zhang Hanren, an official in charge of the event.
