Tianjin to advance manufacturing R&D in the new era

Tianjin will prioritize the real economy and aim to become a national advanced manufacturing research and development base during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, according to information released during the 10th plenary session of the 11th CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee held on Dec 30-31.

With the upgrading of the manufacturing industry, industrial robots are envisioned to have broad future market prospects. Tianjin Siasun Robot Automation Company focuses on the research and development, production, pilot testing and sales of industrial robots.

Lv Zhongwei, vice president of the company, said: "We will build Tianjin Siasun as the center and radiate to the surrounding area to provide industrial robot product technology and services.”

During the 13th Five-Year Plan period, Siasun industrial robots were among the first batch of China's robot products to achieve the CR certification. The company’s product line covers five series of industrial robots, and its products fill many domestic gaps.

"In the new five-year period, we will use our advantages and combine the needs of the industrial chain to give full play to the leading role of top enterprises. We will also synthesize collaborative innovation efforts of upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain,” said Lv. “We will help Tianjin gradually form a new ecosystem of intelligent manufacturing that takes leading manufacturing enterprises as the core and involves a wide range of sub-field enterprises."
