The State Council, in a circular on Dec 23, approved to expand Kunshan pilot area in East China’s Jiangsu province to the whole city of Kunshan, to deepen cross-Straits industrial cooperation.
The expansion should follow the "dual circulation" development pattern, in which the domestic economic cycle plays a leading role while the international economic cycle remains its extension and supplement, according to the circular.
The expansion should advance cross-Straits industrial cooperation, support upgrades and transformation of enterprises from Taiwan, enhance deep cooperation in medium and small enterprises, pilot new steps in trade facilitation, technological communication and financial cooperation, and promote talent exchanges for further cross-Straits industrial integration.
