Hefei project wins China's top civil engineering award

Chuangxing Guoji (Block A, podium and underground garage) building was announced as a recipient of the 2020-2021 China Construction Engineering Luban Prize on Dec 7.

It is the first project in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone to win the award, which is known as the "Oscar" of the construction industry in China and recognizes the highest-quality domestic construction works.

Chuangxing Guoji, contracted by Anhui Sijian Holding Group, is an office building consisting of 23 floors above ground, two below ground, and a hanging garden on its roof. It is located at the northeast corner of the intersection of Chuangxin Avenue and Caihong Road.

The building is designed to function as a green, low-carbon, and high-tech modern office. It is equipped with underground light-guided lighting, photovoltaic power, intelligent parking, and an outdoor rainwater collection system.

The zone government has adopted tighter regulations on project quality while adhering to high standards and requirements. Official statistics showed that seven projects in the zone have won national quality project awards in recent years.
