On Dec 13, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 16 new cases of confirmed infections (14 imported cases, 7 in Shanghai municipality, 3 in Sichuan province, 1 in Beijing municipality, 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 1 in Zhejiang province and 1 in Guangdong province; 2 indigenous cases in Heilongjiang province), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 9 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 346 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases increased by 1.
As of 24:00 on Dec 13, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 4,035 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 3,771 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 264 confirmed cases (including 5 cases in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on Dec 13, the National Health Commission had received reports of 86,741 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 81,794 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 313 confirmed cases (including 7 cases in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases. 887,650 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 7,277 were still under medical observation.
On Dec 13, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 9 new asymptomatic cases (all were imported cases). 6 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (all were imported cases) and 1 (imported case) became a confirmed case. As of 24:00 on Dec 13, 197 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 183 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on Dec 13, 8,323 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 7,541 in Hong Kong (117 had died and 6,202 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 46 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 736 in Taiwan (7 had died and 606 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
