Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, has made great achievements in economic and social development over the past five years, successfully reaching the major goals it set for the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-20).
In 2015, the total industrial output of enterprises above designated scale (those with an annual main business income exceeding 20 million yuan [$2.86 million]) was 156.15 billion yuan, ranking 8th in Zhejiang in terms of growth rate, while the total combined added value of all companies in the city was 36.17 billion yuan. There are 310 enterprises with a main business income of more than 100 million yuan, among which one has a main business income of more than 10 billion yuan.
In 2019, the total industrial output of enterprises above designated scale was 178.82 billion yuan, and there were 990 enterprises above designated scale in the city, among which six enterprises were listed on the main board, with their output value exceeding 10 billion yuan. There were 317 enterprises above 100 million yuan for each main business income.
In addition, Quzhou's aerodynamic equipment industrial cluster is highly influential, and it has the highest market share of air compressor products in China. The city is also one of three provincial IC industrial bases in Zhejiang.
