Shanxi University recognized as national civilized campus

Shanxi University (SXU) -- located in Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province -- won the title of National Civilized School along with other 49 universities at the National Spiritual Civilization Construction Commendation Conference held in Beijing on Nov 20.

Under the program -- launched by the national authorities in 2017 -- universities are building stronger leading and teaching teams, strengthen their moral education, developing a more civilized campus culture and improving the overall campus environment.

In recent years, the university has increasingly moved to improve teacher ethics, the campus culture and environment and acted to build a green, safe and harmonious campus -- providing a model for other universities and urban communities in Shanxi.

The honor is a high recognition of SXU's long-term development of education philosophy, spirit and achievements.
