Wuxi received awards for being the top Chinese city for attracting talents and promoting employment during the 2020 China Best Employer Annual Award Ceremony on Nov 27.
The awards ceremony, together with the International Management Forum of Human Capital, was held in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, for the first time.
During the event, awards for China's top 100 employers of 2020 and employers with outstanding achievements were announced.
Awards were also given to employers most favored by college students and women, as well as awards for the most intelligent employers, most promising employers and those striving to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2020 Human Capital Development Trend Report was released as well.
Wuxi Party Chief Huang Qin attended the event and said the event held in Wuxi was a high recognition of its excellent work in human resources. He said the event would promote knowledge about global trends in recruitment and human resources and help drive the city's high-quality economic development.
Huang noted that Wuxi has issued various favorable policies to attract people to move to the city and work there. Wuxi has worked with top universities, colleges and institutions to allocate innovative resources on a larger scale and with higher efficiency, in order to give full play to the ability and potential of each person, according to Huang.
Huang added that the city would also support innovation and entrepreneurship amid a good quality of living and business environment, aiming to make the city more attractive to top Chinese and international professionals.
The China Best Employer Annual Award Ceremony, in its 15th year, is the most influential and authoritative brand activity in China's human resources sector.
