More than 50 overseas companies and organizations will promote themselves or their products via an online platform for the 17th China-ASEAN Expo, taking place in Nanning, capital of South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, according to a top CAEXPO official.
Wang Lei, secretary-general of the CAEXPO Secretariat, made his remarks on Nov 19 concerning the latest expo, seen as the landmark trade and commerce springboard between members of ASEAN and China.
The CAEXPO will take place in Nanning on Nov 27-30, both as a conventional on-site event and in online form. The regular show to be held in Nanning is for domestic exhibitors and the branches of overseas companies based in China, while the online exhibition is mainly for international exhibitors, officials said.
The online exhibition will feature live streaming to make full use of China's resources in high-quality marketing platforms, allowing viewers to buy products from China, ASEAN countries as well as other countries.
The platform will feature 3D exhibitions, online international conferences and business negotiations, to establish a one-stop service for business deals and communications.
Wang Lei added that the establishment of the online platform was an innovation made in response to the current novel coronavirus pandemic, which would also serve to boost digital economic cooperation between China and ASEAN countries.
