According to a report on the competitiveness of county tourism in China in 2019, Xiuwen county in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, was selected among China's top 100 counties for tourism.
Meanwhile, Guiyang's Kaiyang county and Qingzhen city ranked among China's top 100 counties for tourism potential.
The report evaluated China's 1,881 counties and county-level cities. The ranking considered several factors, including tourism resource enrichment, tourism economy activation, tourism facility convenience, ecological advantages and government promotional efforts.
