China's consumer market recovery is accelerating, with transactions on major shopping platforms breaking records during the recent online shopping spree.
From Nov 1 to Nov 11 during the Double 11 shopping festival this year, Tmall and JD reported total sales revenue of 498.2 billion yuan ($74 billion) and order value of 271.5 billion yuan, respectively.
Quzhou's trading volume during Double 11 reached 735 million yuan, with an increase of 69.7 percent from 433 million last year. In addition, the post-80s and post-90s have become the main force of consumption, accounting for 57.5 percent of sales.
Online shopping platforms in Quzhou had sped up integration with offline stores. This not only creates a better shopping experience for consumers, but also stimulates greater potential for the consumer market during the shopping festival period.
