Nov 15: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On Nov 14, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 13 new cases of confirmed infections (all were imported cases, 3 in Guangdong province, 3 in Yunnan province, 2 in Tianjin municipality, 2 in Shaanxi province, 1 in Shanghai municipality, 1 in Henan province and 1 in Hubei province), 1 new case of suspected infections (an imported case in Shanghai), and no deaths. 16 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 997 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases increased by 1.
As of 24:00 on Nov 14, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 3,693 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 3,337 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 356 confirmed cases (including 4 cases in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on Nov 14, the National Health Commission had received reports of 86,338 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 81,319 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 385 confirmed cases (including 4 cases in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases. 873,191 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 15,032 were still under medical observation.
On Nov 14, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 6 new asymptomatic cases (all were imported cases). 37 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 13 imported cases) and 4 (imported cases) became confirmed cases. As of 24:00 on Nov 14, 613 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 423 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on Nov 14, 6,090 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 5,444 in Hong Kong (108 had died and 5,187 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 46 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 600 in Taiwan (7 had died and 535 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
