Nov 14: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On Nov 13, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 18 new cases of confirmed infections (all were imported cases, 7 in Guangdong province, 5 in Shanghai municipality, 2 in Tianjin municipality, 2 in Liaoning province, 1 in Fujian province and 1 in Shaanxi province), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 24 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 893 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases remained unchanged.
As of 24:00 on Nov 13, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 3,680 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 3,325 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 355 confirmed cases (including 3 cases in serious condition) and 1 suspected case.
As of 24:00 on Nov 13, the National Health Commission had received reports of 86,325 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 81,303 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 388 confirmed cases (including 3 cases in serious condition) and 1 suspected case. 872,812 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 15,650 were still under medical observation.
On Nov 13, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 10 new asymptomatic cases (all were imported cases). 55 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 22 imported cases) and 4 (imported cases) became confirmed cases. As of 24:00 on Nov 13, 648 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 434 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on Nov 13, 6,079 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 5,436 in Hong Kong (108 had died and 5,177 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 46 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 597 in Taiwan (7 had died and 533 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
