Northeast China's Jilin province and East China's Zhejiang province held a ceremony on Nov 10 to establish a business alliance in Hangzhou, the capital city of Zhejiang, marking deeper commercial cooperation between the two sides.
The alliance will serve as a platform for promoting commerce and also be a think tank for enterprises operating in the two provinces.
Some 300 participants -- among them senior provincial officials, leading entrepreneurs, experts, academics and media representatives -- attended the event.
The alliance will lead to closer relations between the provinces, boost joint commercial ventures and see markets operate more efficiently.
The constitution of the Zhejiang Jilin enterprise cooperation and development alliance was tabled and approved at the event. Council members were appointed and the names of its chairman, vice chairman and secretary were announced.
The new alliance issued a cooperation proposal, while a number of projects were signed at the event.
