Nov 12: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On Nov 11, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 15 new cases of confirmed infections (14 imported cases, 4 in Shanghai municipality, 4 in Sichuan province, 2 in Shaanxi province, 1 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 1 in Fujian province and 1 in Guangdong province; 1 indigenous case in Tianjin), 1 new case of suspected infections (an imported case in Shanghai), and no deaths. 24 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 829 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases decreased by 3.
As of 24:00 on Nov 11, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 3,654 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 3,286 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 368 confirmed cases (including 2 cases in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on Nov 11, the National Health Commission had received reports of 86,299 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 81,252 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 413 confirmed cases (including 3 cases in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases. 871,822 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 16,817 were still under medical observation.
On Nov 11, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 6 new asymptomatic cases (all were imported cases). 49 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 25 imported cases) and 5 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 4 imported cases). As of 24:00 on Nov 11, 728 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 457 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on Nov 11, 6,037 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 5,407 in Hong Kong (108 had died and 5,159 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 46 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 584 in Taiwan (7 had died and 528 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
