More than 700 representatives from more than 300 enterprises and institutes in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, launched a group tour to Shanghai to participate in the 3rd China International Import Expo (CIIE).
The Quzhou enterprises and institutes had participated in this annual international event for the past three years, and this year' group was the largest in that time.
The six-day CIIE, which ended on Nov 10, has also grown into an important platform for enterprises from home and aboard to debut products.
China's time-honored brand - Shaoyongfeng sesame seed cakes, are produced with intangible cultural heritage handmade skills and attracted many visitors to watch demonstrations.
Sesame seed cakes in Quzhou date back to the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD 24), and many of the city's social and cultural activities revolve around the snack.
On Nov 1, the Shaoyongfeng Food Co's team arrived at No 4 Pavilion of the Shanghai international food fair.
Zheng Jianwen, the company's general manager, said that the recent expo was the first time his team had presented Quzhou delicacies at such a high-level exhibition.
Additionally, Nov 7 delivered wonderful news back to Quzhou, with Juhua Group signing a cooperation agreement with the process control department of Honeywell International Inc.
The two companies became business partners at last year's CIIE and improved and developed each other's production systems including cost, safety, quality, product delivery and environmental safety.
