Nov 10: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On Nov 9, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 22 new cases of confirmed infections (21 imported cases, 6 in Guangdong province, 4 in Shanghai municipality, 3 in Fujian province, 3 in Sichuan province, 2 in Beijing municipality, 1 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Zhejiang province and 1 in Shaanxi province; 1 indigenous case in Shanghai), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 20 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 422 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases decreased by 2.
As of 24:00 on Nov 9, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 3,624 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 3,258 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 366 confirmed cases (including 2 cases in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on Nov 9, the National Health Commission had received reports of 86,267 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 81,207 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 426 confirmed cases (including 6 cases in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases. 870,889 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 17,465 were still under medical observation.
On Nov 9, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 25 new asymptomatic cases (including 24 imported cases). 42 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 34 imported cases) and 1 (imported case) became a confirmed case. As of 24:00 on Nov 9, 786 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 486 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on Nov 9, 6,004 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 5,380 in Hong Kong (107 had died and 5,146 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 46 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 578 in Taiwan (7 had died and 526 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
