Northwest China's Shaanxi province saw its gross domestic product increase 1.2 percent year-on-year to nearly 1.87 trillion yuan (about $281 billion) in the first three quarters of the year, according to official data Wednesday.
Economic operations showed a steady recovery trend and the consumer market also accelerated its recovery pace during the period, said the provincial statistics bureau.
The value added of Shaanxi's agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery sectors rose 2.5 percent year-on-year during the period, up 1.1 percentage points from the first half of the year.
The cumulative growth rate of the value added of Shaanxi's major industrial enterprises has maintained positive growth since May. In the first three quarters, the value added of major industrial enterprises saw an annual increase of 1.2 percent, 0.2 percentage points higher than in the first half of this year.
The total retail sales of consumer goods in Shaanxi exceeded 662.18 billion yuan, down 9.3 percent year-on-year, narrowing the decline by 6.5 percentage points from the first half of the year.
