Art museums are not only to educate on aesthetics, but also to show urban audiences the cultural diversity of remote areas.
Nostalgia, an exhibition at the National Art Museum of China in Beijing, hails the landscapes and rich ethnic cultures of southwest Guizhou province.
The show through Oct 25 displays more than 50 Chinese ink paintings, oil works and prints by artists largely hailing from Guizhou. It presents the magnificence of natural and cultural views of the province and highlights the changes in people's life because of poverty-alleviation efforts.
