The Wenfeng Pagoda stands on Baota Mountain, 55 kilometers southeast of the county seat of Pingyao county, in North China's Shanxi province. With an altitude of 1,895 meters, Baota Mountain is the second highest mountain in the county. The pagoda is in the 185.33-square-km Chaoshan Mountain nature reserve, which has a forest coverage rate of 80 percent and over 100 species of animals and plants. [Photo/pingyao.gov.cn]
