Dahua's tourism consumption exceeds $300b in Jan-Sept period

From January to September this year, Dahua Yao autonomous county, Hechi received 1,473,100 tourists, with the total tourism consumption reaching 2.05 billion yuan ($305.88 billion).

During the recent National Day Holiday, the average daily passenger flow reached more than 11,800 and the county received more than 110,000 tourists, generating 44 million yuan in tourism income.

In recent years, Dahua has formulated a series of development plans to solve issues like the systematic integration of tourism resources, shortcomings in infrastructure and public services, as well as the development of leading tourism enterprises.

The county has been investing 20 million yuan on the development of the cultural tourism industry per year, introducing a number of preferential policies in terms of land, capital, and taxation, as well as providing financial support for key cultural tourism projects.

Dahua has made efforts to explore and bolster its food culture. Since 2016, the county has held 27 food seminars, food training courses, food competitions, and food exhibition activities, as well as organized nearly 10 Dahua food material exhibitions. At present, there are 1,318 restaurants in the county, with 3,187 people directly working in the catering industry. The annual income generated by the county's catering industry is about 300 million yuan. Dahua also has a total of 199 hotels, with an annual accommodation income reaching 500 million yuan.

In addition, the county has invested more than 3 billion yuan to build public service facilities like tourist roads, greenways, tourism distribution centers, public toilets, tourism consulting service centers, and parking lots.
