Hechi recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for a series of industrial transformation and upgrading projects in the Hehua area of Daren Industrial Park to turn the area into Guangxi's pharmaceutical and chemical industry base, with an investment of 3.26 billion yuan ($487.69 million).
The Hehua area is planned to cover an area of 2.4 million square meters, focusing on the fine chemicals industry and pharmaceutical manufacturing. It plans to build six supporting areas, including the fine chemicals park, biomedical park, new building materials park, modern logistics park, production auxiliary park, and living areas.
The series of industrial transformation and upgrading projects in the Hehua area are an anthraquinone-based fine chemicals project, an advanced pharmaceutical intermediates project, an organic silicon monomer project, a comprehensive utilization of 50,000 tons/year hazardous waste and 11,000 tons/day sewage treatment project, a water-based reaction green chemical synthesis project, as well as the graphene project.
After completion, it is estimated that the annual output value will be more than 5.1 billion yuan, while the expected tax revenue generated will be more than 600 million yuan.
