The annual China (Wuxi) International Culture and Art Industry Fair will be held at the Wuxi Taihu International Expo Center from Oct 15 to 19, according to a news conference on Oct 12.
Themed on "new cultural tourism, new consumption, new life", this year's fair will include an exhibition of 10 themed areas and over 20 special activities, featuring arts and crafts, and cultural innovation products.
The exhibition will display interesting cultural products such as food, famous porcelain, works of art and Chinese writing. A number of craftsmen, including bronze carving master Zhu Bingren, will show their skills at the fair.
Wuxi Museum and Wuxi Library will apply the latest technologies to cultural heritages and books, aiming to make cultural events more interesting and attractive. In addition, an app supported by the exhibitor alliance will be put into operation, in order to promote and sell cultural products online.
To support cultural enterprises affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, organizers will provide subsidies to exhibitors up to 150,000 yuan ($22,200) to help cover the cost of taking part in the fair.
Organized by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and the Wuxi municipal government, the fair, which was first held in 2011, was awarded as top 10 brand exhibition in China by the China Convention, Exhibition and Event Society.
