The left part of the Farui Tunnel of the Du'an-Bama section of the Hezhou-Bama Expressway, which was invested in and constructed by Guangxi Xinfazhan Communication Group Co Ltd, a company directly under Guangxi Beibu Gulf Investment Group, was successfully completed on Oct 9.
The Farui Tunnel is one of the key control projects of the Du'an-Bama Expressway. It is located near Farui village, Jiangnan township, Dahua Yao autonomous county, with a total length of 5,334 meters. As the longest highway tunnel under construction in Guangxi, the Farui Tunnel adopts a separated structure and is being constructed by tunneling at both ends.
Due to the complicated geological conditions, the construction has encountered various difficulties. All participant units have continuously optimized the construction plan, implemented technological innovation, as well as introduced new equipment to improve the working environment and increase construction efficiency.
Safe and standardized construction have also been highly valued, as safety training and safety drills were regularly carried out to advance the construction of the Farui Tunnel in a safe and high-quality manner.
The completion of the left part of the Farui Tunnel has created good transportation conditions for accelerating the construction of the Du'an-Bama Expressway. After opening to the public, the travel time at both ends of the tunnel from Farui village, Jiangnan township to Hongchou village, Qiangwei township will be shortened from 70 minutes to about four minutes. It is of great significance to drive economic development along the route and help local governments' poverty alleviation efforts.
