ZHENGZHOU -- A new flight will be launched on Oct 12, linking Zhengzhou, capital of central China's Henan Province, and Helsinki in Finland, according to the Henan Province Airport Group.
The nine-hour air route, operated by Juneyao Airlines, will fly every Monday. The outbound flight will take off at 1:55 a.m. Beijing time and arrive in Helsinki at 6:10 a.m. local time.
The returning flight will depart at 8:30 p.m. local time on a Monday and land in Zhengzhou at 10:00 a.m. the next day, Beijing time.
The new air route will boost the economic, trade, and people-to-people exchanges between Henan and Finland, which will help speed up the opening up of the inland province, said Li Xinguo, an official with the Henan provincial commission of reform and development.
Data indicated that Henan's import and export to Finland topped 103 million U.S. dollars in 2019, up by 31.32 percent year on year.
