On Sept 30, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 11 new cases of confirmed infections (all were imported cases, 7 in Shanghai municipality, 2 in Guangdong province, 1 in Sichuan province and 1 in Shaanxi province), 3 new cases of suspected infections (all were imported cases in Shanghai), and no deaths. 16 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 796 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases decreased by 1.
As of 24:00 on Sept 30, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 2,865 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 2,679 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 186 confirmed cases (including 1 in serious condition) and 3 suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on Sept 30, the National Health Commission had received reports of 85,414 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 80,594 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 186 confirmed cases (including 1 case in serious condition) and 3 suspected cases. 833,311 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 7,241 were still under medical observation.
On Sept 30, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 10 new asymptomatic cases (all were imported cases). 22 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (all were imported cases) and no asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases. As of 24:00 on Sept 30, 363 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 361 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on Sept 30, 5,647 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 5,087 in Hong Kong (105 had died and 4,827 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 46 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 514 in Taiwan (7 had died and 483 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
