Quanzhou, Iloilo establish sister city ties

Quanzhou, a city in East China's Fujian province, recently signed a sister city relationship agreement online with the city of Iloilo in the Philippines at the ASEAN-Fujian Relationship Provinces/Cities Conference.

Both cities had carried out a series of friendly exchange activities and achieved positive results since 2017.

The sister city relationship will provide a more convenient and effective intergovernmental communication and dialogue platform and further deepen mutually beneficial links in various fields such as economy and trade, humanities, education, tourism and police affairs.

Iloilo city is the capital of Iloilo province in the Philippines, located in the western part of the Visayan Islands. It is the commercial, industrial, financial, educational and tourism center of the western Visayan Islands.

As of September 16, 2020, Quanzhou had established sister city relations with 17 cities in 12 countries around the world.
