Ningbo and Zhoushan, two cities in Zhejiang province, have made significant progress in integrating their ports, infrastructure, public services, talent, and social governance since they embarked on a path of integrated development one year ago, local media reported recently.
Deepening the integrated development of their ports is a priority for the two cities, and they have accelerated coordinated development in port construction, supervision and shipping services over the past year.
Zhoushan has actively cooperated with Ningbo's global trade platform, and the two cities have also successfully applied to become a national port logistics hub.
They have signed agreements to promote the development of marine economy in Zhoushan, and a group of Ningbo-based companies have been encouraged to invest in Zhoushan as well.
Moreover, they have also launched several culture-themed travel routes and 19 passenger transport routes over the past year.
Medical expenses incurred by Zhoushan residents can be paid at 117 hospitals in Ningbo, while medical expenses incurred by Ningbo residents can be paid at 27 hospitals in Zhoushan.
