On Sept 3, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 25 new cases of confirmed infections (all were imported cases, 13 in Guangdong province, 5 in Shanghai municipality, 2 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 2 in Shaanxi province, 1 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Fujian province and 1 in Sichuan province), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 12 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 477 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases remained unchanged.
As of 24:00 on Sept 3, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 2,553 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 2,364 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 189 confirmed cases (including 3 in serious condition) and no suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on Sept 3, the National Health Commission had received reports of 85,102 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 80,263 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 205 confirmed cases (including 3 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases. 817,696 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 7,610 were still under medical observation.
On Sept 3, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 26 new asymptomatic cases (all were imported cases). 15 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 13 imported cases) and 2 cases became confirmed cases (both were imported cases). As of 24:00 on Sept 3, 358 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 345 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on Sept 3, 5,373 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 4,838 in Hong Kong (94 had died and 4,431 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 46 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 489 in Taiwan (7 had died and 471 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
