The National Development and Reform Commission has allocated 1.51 billion yuan ($220.52 million) to North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region to support the transformation and renovation of old communities this year, according to a report from Xinhua News Agency. The funding is from the investment plan within the central budget and will be released in three batches.
A total of 487 old communities are included on the renovation list, involving 60,307 households in 11 leagues and cities in Inner Mongolia, including the cities of Hohhot, Manzhouli, Tongliao and Chifeng, as well as Hinggan League and Alshaa League.
The renovation plan for old communities in Inner Mongolia is currently being implemented and will improve residents' living conditions. In particular, the project will solve livelihood issues related to water, electricity, heating and transportation.
