The organic vegetable demonstration and experience base of Quzhou Zaotian Agricultural Science and Technology Development Co Ltd, located in Kecheng district, Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, covers about 20 hectares and grows 100 kinds of vegetables and fruits.
Due to the area's high altitude, high humidity and large temperature differences between day and night, the crops there have a long growth cycle and retain much of their natural flavor.
"If the land is tilled too often, it becomes overloaded and the soil becomes barren, so we use fallow rotation," said Yang Ligang, general manager of Quzhou Zaotian Agricultural Science and Technology Development Company.
When the vegetables and fruits are ripe, the staff will go door-to-door to collect them.
The sorted vegetables and fruits are then sold to cities including Hangzhou and Shanghai.
