Taizhou city of Zhejiang province has recently released an updated policy to draw prominent talent from around the world to its city. Renowned for its booming private sector, the city plans to roll out a total of 30 measures to help qualified talent reach a wide range of business dreams.
Taizhou is one of the 27 city hubs in the Yangtze River Delta region and a crucial hub along the 21st Maritime Silk Road. Bathed in picturesque scenery as well as time-honored culture and traditions, the city boasts its significant role in the early development of the private economy in China. It is also an important manufacturing base in the Yangtze River Delta region.
The extensive talent recruiting policy, guided by the city's vision and ambition to further boost its private sector and innovation, is solidly appealing to people both at home and abroad. The 30 measures include building a range of more competitive programs to recruit and nurture talent, better business environment and platforms, and enhance systems to serve, assess and encourage talent.
To better woo the top talent, the city promises to create tailor-made platforms and programs according to the candidates' specific condition. Limits and restrictions on job positions and salaries can be lifted for qualified talent.
The new talent policy allows for greater flexibility to attract more prominent talent. Business projects in the city's enclaves and oversea incubation projects in the city can enjoy the same benefits as local businesses. Talent recruited by Taizhou businesses through commission for crucial projects can also be covered by the new policy. More flexible benefits such as rent subsidies will also be provided.
Recipients of the new policy will be supported in every stage of their business journey. There will be an Angel Fund for startups, various funds for financing and a range of other support to help businesses enter a higher stage.
As a major manufacturing hub, Taizhou welcomes both research talent and craftsmen with skills. To better appeal to and accommodate these talents, the city has stepped up efforts in building various platforms including key programs in academic institutions, R&D institutions driven by market force, as well as zones and areas for entrepreneurs.
The holistic talent policies of Taizhou city, including more detailed ones for services and work mechanisms, aim to drive new growth not only in the economy but also for innovation.
