The 21st IE Expo China, Asia's largest environmental trade fair, started Aug 13 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center in Pudong New Area.
The event this year covered 150,000 square meters, gathering more than 1,800 environmental industry representatives from 24 countries.
The three-day event showcased the latest innovations and technologies in pollution management. Products and services include waste, water and soil treatment, as well as air quality and noise pollution control.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the world's largest environmental fair IFAT and the China International Environmental Protection Exhibition and Conference have been canceled or moved online.
As the number of such industrial fairs slumps, the IE Expo China has drawn increased attention as the first fair in the environmental industry this year.
According to the organizers, this year's expo has combined online and offline activities to facilitate technological exchanges between domestic and overseas markets
Nearly 40 companies from Denmark, Germany, France, South Korea, Canada, Malaysia, the United States and Italy displayed their latest products and technology via a cloud platform.
