On Aug 13, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 30 new cases of confirmed infections (22 imported cases, 16 in Shanghai municipality, 5 in Shaanxi province and 1 in Sichuan province; 8 indigenous cases in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region), 2 new cases of suspected infections (both were imported cases in Shanghai), and no deaths. 64 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 1,567 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases decreased by 2.
As of 24:00 on Aug 13, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 2,249 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 2,075 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 174 confirmed cases (including 1 in serious condition) and 5 suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on Aug 13, the National Health Commission had received reports of 84,786 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 79,462 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 690 confirmed cases (including 39 cases in serious condition) and 5 suspected cases. 804,180 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 21,456 were still under medical observation.
On Aug 13, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 28 new asymptomatic cases (including 24 imported cases). 14 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 7 imported cases) and no asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases. As of 24:00 on Aug 13, 309 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 167 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on Aug 13, 4,839 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 4,312 in Hong Kong (66 had died and 3,295 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 46 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 481 in Taiwan (7 had died and 450 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
