The throughput of foreign trade cargo at Quanzhou Port in Fujian province's Quanzhou city saw a year-on-year increase of 6.36 percent, totaling 1.92 million metric tons in the first half of the year, according to Fujian Quanzhou Port Development Center.
During the COVID-19 epidemic, Fujian Quanzhou Port Development Center organized special surveys to coordinate enterprises resuming work and production and solve problems encountered by exporters.
The port has ensured the smooth flow of the industrial supply chain through numerous measures, including reduced logistics costs and the increased frequency of channel cruises.
Also, enterprises in the port area have taken steps to control costs and improve their operational capabilities, while striving to improve the quality and efficiency of port logistics services.
Quanzhou Port will continue to track the flow of cargo sources, continuously improve the route layout and promote the further development of its facilities. Additionally, the export hub will maintain its epidemic prevention and control measures while work resumption continues.
