Lin Jiming, deputy director of the Guangxi Big Data Development Bureau, said at a press conference held in Nanning on Aug 4 that Guangxi's data resource management and application reforms have achieved positive initial results that have greatly improved convenience for people and enterprises.
In order to solve the long-standing problem of the low level of big data application in the region, Guangxi officially issued the Implementation Plan for Guangxi Government Data Resource Management and Application Reform, proposing to strengthen data connection and help eliminate the "isolated island of information" problem.
At present, the Guangxi Digital Government Integration Platform and 13 city-level government integration platforms have been put into use. The wide-area backbone network of the Guangxi e-government has a coverage rate of 100 percent at the municipal and county levels, as well as a coverage rate of 96.3 percent at the township level. The public data platform in Guangxi has collected and put online a total of 783 public data open directories in 61 departments.
In particular, the autonomous region-level business processing system has completed the docking of 981 government service items, with a completion rate of 79.7 percent. The city and county-level business processing systems completed docking of 15,428 government service items, with a completion rate of 59.8 percent.
Lin also noted that the in-depth integration of government data and government services, the application of electronic certificates, as well as the online processing applications will be promoted by accelerating the application of government data.
In the future, the Guangxi Big Data Development Bureau will build a network infrastructure protection system based on artificial intelligence and big data technology to create a comprehensive, multi-level, and three-dimensional digital government with high-level protection capability.
