Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has devised a major strategic plan for promoting high quality economic development, which emphasizes integration of big data and the real economy, as well as high-end manufacturing and consumption.
Guiyang will continue to expand its economic opening-up, revitalize its market entities, and attract talents to help the city prosper.
The plan aims to select and attract different varieties and categories of brands, and extend industrial chains, enhance the value of chains and build industrial clusters to give each industry an output value of over 10 billion yuan ($1.43 billion).
By introducing more than 100 products and industries, Guiyang will form a modern trade service system featuring middle and high-end consumption, and a new industrial system led by middle and high-end manufacturing.
To achieve this goal, Guiyang will take about five years to complete the industrial layout, and 10 to 15 years to cultivate and strengthen its industries, in order to build a modern economic system with Guiyang's characteristics.
