Guangxi held a consumption-driven poverty alleviation event in the Beijing Guangxi Building on July 30, seeking cooperation with companies from the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and carrying out live-streaming activities advertising poverty alleviation products.
More than 100 representatives from impoverished counties in Guangxi such as Donglan, Du'an, and Dahua, 14 municipal government liaison offices in Beijing, as well as sales companies, suppliers, and business associations, participated in the event.
The event was jointly organized by the Guangxi Commerce Department and the Beijing Office of the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region in an attempt to overcome the adverse impact of the COVID-19 epidemic on poverty alleviation efforts.
With the help of online sales platforms such as Tmall, relevant persons in charge of the Guangxi Commerce Department and 14 municipal government liaison offices in Beijing entered the live-streaming room to promote Guangxi's high-quality poverty alleviation products.
Jiang Liansheng, director of the Guangxi Commerce Department, introduced the production and sales of agricultural products in Guangxi and emphasized the unique advantages of the emerging e-commerce marketing model of live-streaming sales.
Luo Rongli, director of the Beijing Office of Guangxi government, said in her speech that the Guangxi Beijing Office and the 14 municipal liaison offices in Beijing will strengthen the production-marketing coordination between Guangxi and Beijing, and strive to create displays and a sales platform for Guangxi's high-quality products.
A number of Beijing enterprises signed contracts with Guangxi companies on site and nearly 100 products, such as mango, beef strips, buffalo milk, and osmanthus cake, were snapped up through the live-stream.
